Grief Club Project

Last year, my daughter Kelly’s friend Amy invited me to make a contribution to her project, Grief Club, which came about following the death of Amy’s mother two years ago. She wanted to share with others who experienced/are experiencing grief, and build a community of hope and spread the word that it is ok to not be ok and healing is not a straight line. Amy curates stories of people who have experienced loss of a loved one, highlighting how death impacts people differently if not any less forcefully, with complexities surrounding their relationships with their loved ones complicating the grieving process. I wrote about the loss of my father when I was 4 years old, which left its mark on me in so many ways that I only came to understand many years later.

I am sharing my contribution to Grief Club here: https://www.griefclub.co/home/my-father-went-from-a-healthy-man-to-a-dying-one-within-days.
